Storytelling & Narratives

History is more than a list of facts; it is a series of interconnected stories. TimeWrit's **Stories** feature allows you to group events into narrative arcs. ### Creating a Narrative A story acts as an overlay on your timeline. Events within a story can be given a specific **Sequence Number** to define their order in the narrative, regardless of their chronological date. > [!IMPORTANT] > **Narrative Overrides**: When viewing a Story, the chronology remains fixed, but the visual progression highlights the connections you've defined, guiding readers through the past. > [!TIP] > **Visual Distinction**: Give each story a unique color. This color will be reflected in the timeline cards when that story is active, making it easy to see which threads overlap.
